MXICO

It is a tradition that has survived over time and has a number of special characteristics. The
offerings, saucers, flowers cempaxuchitl and different ceremonies, which are made for the
arrival of the dead are some activities that are carried out only in Mexico.
It begins on 1 November with the arrival of the dead children and the second day with the
arrival of adults. It is common at this date go to the cemetery to visit our dead, placing a
wreath at home with the food they liked to enjoy life. Their spirits stay these days with us
and then returned to the afterlife.

ESTADOS UNIDOS
Halloween or Halloween is one of the most important festivals in the United

In this Caribbean island, on November 2 is celebrated on Fet Gede or All Souls
Day. The streets of Port au Prince are overcrowded with people dressed in red
and black, the colors of the spirits of their ancestors, and go to the cemetery to
participate in the sacred rite. There, the crowd gathers below the high cross of
Baron and Maman Brigitte. Some pour coffee and rum at the foot of the crosses
as an offering, others leave bread, peanuts or corn.
The "Mambo" or priestess kills a chicken in a bloody ceremony that served to free
believers from evil influences. Those who remain conscious visit the graves of
their friends and family.

CHINA
The Ching Ming festival for the Chinese is what the Day of the Dead for Mexicans. During
this "bright and shining" day, the descendants will visit the grave of their deceased
relatives. This festival is celebrated the afternoon 4 or 5 April on the solar calendar, or
the day 106 in the Chinese lunar calendar.
Money is also burned as a symbol of prosperity and, ultimately, all kneel to pray.
Ching Ming, hang on their doors a few sprigs of willow, which is a symbol of light enemy
of darkness, to protect against evil spirits. They believe that if they do not come back in
