Who is Vincent Van Gogh?


Van Gogh was born in the Netherlands, he lived form
1853 to 1890. He is one of the most famous painters
in the world. His art work sells for millions of dollars
today. His work is known as post-impressionist. He
created 2000 paintings and drawing in his life time.
His paintings are very thick and viscous, he used
thick brush strokes that can still be seen in his work.

people say they can see the sky moving in his work.

Project Instructions
Please recreate a 2D work inspired by Van Goghs Starry Night. The medium is up
to you but it must have texture. Some ways to create texture in 2d work is by using
paper, tissue paper, coffee filters, glue, and whatever else you can think of on the
paper or canvas. I have included some examples for you to see of other artists who
were inspired by Starry Night. Please be creative, come up with your own
concept.
