Background
Dr. Wells submitted a Cooperative Innovative High Schools
grant proposal
Dr. Wells initiated a partnership with National Academy
Foundation (NAF) to support the creation and implementation
of academies on the WHS campus
Formed an Academy Design Team (ADT) comprised of
stakeholders from WCS School Board, WCS Central Services,
WHS Staff & Halifax Community College
2016 is the Year of Planning (YOP)
Proposed Name Change: Weldon STEM High School Career
Academies (WSHSCA)
WSHSCA Operational in Fall 2016
