The Institute for Career Studies (ICS-International)
was established in 1985 by Dr. Amrita Dass, who has
the distinction of pioneering educational and career
guidance and counselling and services in India.
ICS has an international presence and experience of
nearly three decades in providing educational and
career guidance and counselling services as well as
conducting a broad spectrum of educational and
training programmes. It also provides a range of
educational consultancy services through its
consultancy division - the ICS Education Limited.

EDUCATIONAL CAREER COUNSELLING AND
Since its inception, ICSGUIDANCE
team of professional counsellors have
conducted career counselling and guidance programmes in more
than 200 leading residential and day schools in India and abroad
and have reached out to over 2,50,000 students.

MODULES FOR CLASSES:

CLASS IX :
The objective of the Career Counselling and Guidance Programme is to
identify personality strengths, talents and interests of the students.
This will facilitate subject selection and create awareness about the
educational and career scenario, further enabling the students to make
informed choices relevant to the current scenario of opportunity and
change.

CLASS X
The objective of the Career Counselling and Guidance Programme
is to identify the aptitudes and interests of the students and help
them draw up an educational and career plan with a focus on
choosing the subjects best suited for them.

CLASS XI AND XII

The objective of the Advanced Career Development Programme at
this stage is to facilitate the educational and career path of the
students after plus 2 with a focus on Identifying the Right Course at
the Right Campus.

Institute of Management (IIM)-Lucknow, S.P. Jain Centre of
Management, Singapore and others.

Besides its educational and career counselling related

programmes the ICS team of experts and trainers also

ICS has also conducted specialised training programmes
for bankers representing the National Bank for
Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD) and The
State Bank of India.

showcasing the Secondary Indian Education sector to decision
makers and leading universities in Canada and Singapore.

The consultancy division of ICS, the ICS-Education Limited provides
a broad range of educational consultancy to the primary, secondary
and tertiary sectors of education in India.
It has the unique distinction of undertaking turn-key projects which
range from establishing schools to university.
ICS Education Limited also conducts immersion programmes for
Principals and Counsellors of Indian schools by showcasing to them
the best practices in leadership and education facilitated through
visits to foreign institutions of higher education and also organising
workshops at Indian institutions conducted by experts from around
the globe through its international division ICS Education Services

DR. AMRITA DASS

Dr. Amrita Dass is a leading Educationist and Career-Consultant
of the country. She is the Founder-Director of ICS-International
and has the distinction of pioneering the career counselling and
guidance services in India. She is also a visiting faculty member
for IIM-Lucknow.
A post graduate in western history with two gold medals, Dr. Dass
has been a Fellow of the Indian Council of Historical Research
(ICHR). She pursued her doctoral studies at the School of Oriental
and African Studies, University of London.
She is a columnist for many leading newspapers of the country
and writes on a wide range of educational, career and leadership
issues.

Besides being a consultant for a number of leading schools of the country, Dr. Dass serves as a Member of the
Governing Bodies of Bishop Cotton School, Shimla, Auckland House School, Shimla and Nirmal Bhartiya
School, New Delhi and Study Hall, Lucknow amongst others.
In the Higher Education sector she contributes as a consultant to upcoming universities on a wide range of issues.
She has been an Advisor to SIDBI, Member-Steering Committee on Women and Child Development, Planning
Commission (IXth Five Year Plan) and an Ex-officio Director of the State Bank of India.

Dr Dass has presented papers and participated in many international conferences including; the UN World
Summit for Social Development, Copenhagan, Sweden the UN Conference on Women, Beijing, the State of
the World Forum at San Francisco, U.S.A., the International Womens Dialogue, Houston, U.S.A. and the
Global Knowledge Partnership (GKPII) meeting at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, organized by the World Bank
amongst others.
She has been invited to visit and speak at universities in U.K., Canada and Singapore.
Dr. Dass is recipient of the Lions Club Award for outstanding Social Work and the Rotary Award for
Vocational Excellence. She has recently been felicitated as a Woman Achiever by Tata Consultancy
Services
(TCS).

She is also the recipient of the Lions Club Award for Outstanding Social Work, the Rotary Award for
Vocational Excellence and TCS-Women Achiever of the Year Award.
