The RESObase Access Requests (RbAR) Module


Provides a self service tool for requesting a RESObase profile and subsequent module
accesses.
Module access approval is processed by designated module owners.
The tool can be accessed using the following URL:
https://resoab2.megacenter.de.ibm.com:9444/ResoBaseAccessRequests/moduleAccess.do

or can be accessed

via the RESObase Login page:

The content of the RbAR module varies depending on the users


role.

Visible to all users. If user


does not have a RESObase
profile then this section will
allow them to request one.
Visible to all users with
a RESObase profile.
Visible only if the user is listed
as the Blue Pages Manager of
another user.
Visible only if the user is listed
as a module owner.

New RESObase Users


New RESObase users will be presented with the following screen.
From here a declaration of the users employee status is made along
with a justification for requesting a RESObase profile (this
information will later be verified by the users Blue Pages Manager).
Users can re-issue the profile request after 3 days if a response is
not provided by the Blue Pages Manager (BPM).

NOTE: If the prospective user is identified by the system as not being a
RESO employee, an interim approval (conducted by the application owner)
will be required before progressing to BPM approval.
RESObase profile requests will trigger an email to the BPM of the
prospective user.
Link in this email will take the BPM to a page displaying the individuals
request details. The BPM can then approve or reject with comments (BPM
approval is required only once).
Grant User Access page is a public page i.e.
BPM does not also need to be a RESObase
user (but is still verified using intranet ID).

Once access is granted, the user can click on the RESObase

Module Access Section


RESObase users will be presented with a view of their current
module configuration.
Clicking the name of an individual module will expand/collapse the
section to show specific geographical access.

Additional module access can be requested by selecting the


request link for the individual geography.
Once the desired configuration is in place, the request is issued by
the user by entering their password at the base of the page and
selecting Submit Access Request

Emails will be sent to all module owner(s) relating to the request.


Ownership is on a module/geography combination.
The module owner(s) will then be able to approve/reject the request
using the Manage Module Requests section of the RbAR tool.

Once accepted by the module owner, the requestor receives a


confirmation email.
The email includes a link to the Profile Changes page, where the
user can view details of the updates made to their profile by the
module owner.
