SEGREGATION OF WASTE MATERIAL

DPSG has started a cleanliness drive which includes the

segregation of waste
material generated in the school campus according to their
nature.
The waste has been divided into three types- biodegradable,
non-biodegradable
and recyclable waste material. Three different colour
dustbins have been placed
at various locations in the school campus. Green for
biodegradable, red for non biodegradable and blue for recyclable. The school plans to sell
the recyclable waste
and from the income we plan to buy a plastic recycling
machine.

INCLUSION
School Sanitation and Inclusion are very much

interlinked at DPSG. The students with special

needs are actively engaged in various school
programmes along with their peer buddies. As our
special volunteers they participated in the cleanliness
drive and also led the group for project and activities
like Shramdaan and Waste segregation. They helped
in segregating the waste into three categories- biodegradable, non-biodegradable and recyclable. Thus
they are contributing in the efficient waste disposal
programme of the school. Students helped in
spreading awareness about Clean India, Green India
Project through rally and poster making activity.
