Introduction
Transportation is one of the most important requirements for the aid of
communication from one place to other
For visiting purpose or in the sense of tourism. A number of factors like
the convenience from one place to the
Other, promotion of tourism, for communication between places etc. Have
predicted the importance of planning
Such as roadways industries in the assense of bus terminals.
Transportation system improves the social, economic, industrial
and commercial progress and further
Transforms the society into an organized one. It is one of the essential
services, vital force for determining the
Direction of development. To achieve the desired transportation balance
and for the system to be efficient, it is
Essential to provide organized facilities in the system.

Aim
The project would aim at developing the city bus terminal with commercial
complex and workshop for 300 bus. The main objectives of the project are:
1) To provide better facility to end-users of Rajasthan state road transport
corporation, (RSRTC) passenger service and facilitating passengers as
well as inhabitants of the neighbouring areas with enhanced and
planned commercial activities.
2) To increase the use of transport system by integrating it with city
transport system which will result in decreased number of private
vehicle users with consequential reduction in traffic on city roads.
Object
The success of the bus terminal with commercial complex and workshop will
depend largely of its ability to attract prospective passenger, businessmen,
shoppers, tourism etc. In order to insure this, the complex must promise
not only essential facilities and conveniences but should be able to project
an image of a modern
bus terminal with the right kind of urban
environment. The object of this competition is to elicit innovative ideas in
design and select an outstanding design solution for the proposed city bus
terminal with commercial complex and workshop

Abstract
This paper investigates the design of bus stations in a physically constrained area
through a case study of Brighton bus station, which is situated in the historic core
of the city abutting the railway station complex. Bus and passenger data
collection is primarily done manually and is supplemented by videography. The
analysis of capacity of the existing bus station is completed using micro
simulation software. In addition, a graphic simulation tool for tracking the swept
paths of buses, taxis, and lorries is used to formulate the proposed physical
layouts for the bus station. The proposals were evaluated using a simple
evaluation methodology developed in this study.
