new document. I clicked on document and it then came up with some information that I could change to suit my DPS. I had changed the number of pages to 4, which would allow me to bring my front page and contents onto the software afterwards. I also changed the number of columns that I needed for my Q&A to 2. There are guttering (margins) between the columns. Guttering is used to make the text evenly spaced out so that it looks more neat and professional. It makes sure that we dont go out of the margins. I had also then clicked on pages on the side and had moved one of the pages from 2 to 3 by dragging it and placing it near. I right clicked and there was a list and I unticked Allow document page to shuffle so that allowed me to drag the page to the bottom. I had drawn a text box and wrote headline in it. I then changed the size of it. Afterwards, I highlighted my text and clicked on colour at the side of InDesign and changed the colour and had added a stroke. I added a stroke my changing the weight of it and then changing the colour. I created another text box which allows me to have a stand first on my double page spread. I then changed the colour by selecting the option at the side of InDesign. After this I had aligned the text. I had drawn a text box and had filled it with place holder text. I had to make sure that my columns were on 2. I had clicked on the move tool and made my original text box smaller so that some of the writing had been cut off. I then clicked on the other box and in the corner on the left, there was a little square below it. I then clicked on that and something appeared. I clicked over some of the original text and it then moved it onto the next text box on the other page. I selected the first letter of my text and then increased the size of it to create a drop cap. I clicked on the drop cap number of lines bit at the top and changed the number to 4. I created a byline by using a text box and typing my name in it. I added a photo to my InDesign by clicking file and place. I put my photo on top of my text and then clicked window and text wrap. This allowed me to change the millimetres and then make the text move around the picture in a free-flow motion. Picture caption- I added a caption onto my photo by drawing a text box and writing in it. I then changed the colour to paper white and then placed it on top of my image. Afterwards, I right clicked text frame option and then clicked ignore text wrap. My text had then appeared. Add a pull quote. Create a text box and then paste the text and add a wrap and put it on top of your text.
