Battery, & a built-in Antenna

This whole System is known as the Diagnostic-Imaging

System
WHY PILL CAMERA????
Pill Camera can easily diagnose stomach related
problems without any severe pain

Earlier a process called Endoscopy was used

which was painful and required sedation

Patient has to only eat the pill and all the

stomach related problems can be diagnosed
COMPONENTS OF A PILL
CAMERA

The Pill Camera consist of the following important parts

Optical Dome
Lens Holder
Lens
CMOS Image Sensor
Battery
ASIC Transmitter & Antennae
OPTICAL DOME
This shape results in the easy orientation of the capsule
axis along the small intestine

The Optical Dome consists of the Light Receiving Window

LENS HOLDER
Lens holder accommodate the Lens such

that the Lens does not get dislocated

LENS
Most important component of the capsule

Arranged behind the Light Receiving

Window

The Light through the window falls on the

Lens
ILLUMINATING LEDS
Placed around the Lens & the Image
Sensor
Helps to illuminate the parts inside the
stomach
