Transport Capabilities
SAP NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure
(SAP NetWeaver XI) 7.0 contains enhanced
functionality that enables close coupling
between the XI development tools
(Integration Repository and Integration
Directory) and CTS (Change and Transport
System),and enhanced administration
support during configuration phase of TMS
(Transport Management System) supporting
the system maintenance of combined Java
and ABAP systems.

As of Stack 12 and higher, the Change and Transport

System (CTS) of SAP NetWeaver Application Server
(SAP NetWeaver AS) is now capable of transporting
non-ABAP object types as well.
With the enhanced CTS (CTS+ for short) SAP
NetWeaver provides a comprehensive set of
functions to control transports in both ABAP and Java
environments. Furthermore non-ABAP transports
including objects from usage types EP (Enterprise
Portal), PI (Process Integration), and DI
(Development Infrastructure), or even simple file
system objects, can be managed as well. By
providing a unified approach to transport
management, the enhanced transport capabilities of
CTS further simplify the system administration of an
SAP system landscape.
