Invigilators Arrival
Invigilators should ensure they are present in the
Examination Room in plenty of time to ensure
that all arrangements are in place, and so should
plan to arrive 30 minutes before the start of the
examination.

Examination Papers
Invigilators should ensure the examination
papers for the examinations have arrived from
the Schools from Examination Cell.
For any papers that fail to arrive, contact the
Controller of Examination to chase up the paper.

Make sure the examination room is ready.
Check each students ID card before they
enter the examination hall.
Make sure the student does not carry any
material which is not permitted in the
examination room and complies with the
prescribed dress code.
Read all the rules and regulations to the
students.
Promptly start the examination on time.
 ROUTINE CONDUCT OF
EXAMINATIONS
Late arrival of candidate: -
Candidates are not permitted to enter the
examination more than 30 minutes after the start
Candidates are not to be given extra time for late
arrival.
If the candidate has not arrived, invigilator may
mark them absent with red pen.
Prepare the statement of attendance sheet with
signs.
Check carefully summary of Answer Script A.
Name, Class, Section, Date, Paper, Subject etc.

Remain vigilant at all times.

An invigilator should be a teaching
staff.
The invigilators must be vigilant in
monitoring the examination.
An invigilator must not leave the
examination room unattended at any
time during the examination period.

The Examination Department will assign
invigilators in each examination room.

Student ID and Dress Code

Students without college IDs should not be
allowed
Students who do not follow the college dress
code will not be permitted.
Invigilation Duty
Duties of Invigilators-
Instruct the students to display their College ID/admit
cards on the table.
Advise the students that during the exam they should
raise their hand if they need any attention.
Ensure the security of the examination papers
Prevent any use of unfair means.
Prevent possible administrative failures.
Ensuring that candidates do not consume any
food in the exam hall/room.
Ensuring that there is no communication between the
candidates during the period of the examination.
Write start and end time of exam clearly on the board.
 Cheating Case
If a student shows any sign of attempting
to cheat during the examination, the
student should be given a verbal warning
If the student is found to be copying from
a paper, or any electronic device (mobile
phones, calculators, electronic watches,
etc.) or from any writings on the students
body, the invigilators are to book a
cheating case against the student.
