Introduction

Hassan Fathy was born in


Alexandria, Egypt in 1900. In 1926
he graduated in architecture at
Cairo University. Hassan Fathy was
one of the first architects to break
with modern architecture and found
a new approach based on
conception of interpreting forms
and masses from the past.
