The ASEAN regional international organization was founded


on 8 August 1967 in Bangkok, through the signing of the
Declaration of Bangkok ("Bangkok Declaration"), or often
also called "ASEAN Declaration", by Indonesia, Singapore,
Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. And at that time also
Indonesia joined in the Organization of ASEAN
One of the goals of ASEAN is to create the maintenance and
improvement of peace, security, durability and the area free
of nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction.
Based on the purpose of the Indonesian state as one of the
members as well as the founder of ASEAN. Of course if in
those countries that joined in the ASEAN there are conflicts,
then the conflict that happened in Thailand and Cambodia
Indonesia as chairman of ASEAN to participate in
maintaining security stability in ASEAN region.

Indonesia itself officially a member of the United Nations on
September 28, 1950, by unanimous vote of the existing members.
Indonesia is the 60th member of the UN at the time.
Indonesia and the United Nations have a strong attachment, the
reason Indonesian independence in the same year with the
establishment of the UN, and the UN also so consistent in
supporting the independence of Indonesia to become an
independent state, sovereign and independent, so that the term
child truly United Nations in Indonesia
In 1947 the Government of Indonesia appointed Lambertus
Nicodemus Palar became Vice remain Republic of Indonesia which
is the first in the United Nations.
After becoming a member state of the United Nations, in 1954
Indonesia Irian Jaya bring the dispute to the Netherlands to seek a
solution to the dispute. In this dispute Indonesia is supported by
the Asian-African Conference in April 1955
Indonesia again be a member of the UN during the Soeharto era on
September 28, 1966. Indonesia is also a member of several UN
agencies, such is ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council), ILO
(International Labor Organization) and FAO (Food and Agriculture
Organization)

Organization of the Islamic
Conference is formed based on the
decision of the high level meeting
held in Rabat, Morocco, on 25
September 1967 as a result of the
emergence of the action that occurs
in the mosques Al-Aqsa - Jerussalem.
Member: 57 countries
Indonesia join into the Organization of
Cooperation of Indonesia, of course there
are the interests of the inserted------
First, regarding political issues where Indonesia as one of the
developing countries stand on foreign politics free and active.
Second, as a country where the majority of the population is
Islamic, participate promote solidarity Islamiyah or commonly
called relations.
Third, took the benefits for the interests of the development of
Indonesia, especially in the trade and economic cooperation
among the OIC member states.
