So What is bicycle sharing?
My guess is you already know about Mobike/ Ofobike even if you
have been living under a rock ! To catch you up , this is what cycle
sharing is all about in China !
LetzCycle Vision
Letzcycle will enable millions of Indians to use
Bicycles as an essential mode of commute , and
revert back from fossil fuel powered vehicles Letzcycle
combines innovative IOT technology with the humble
bicycle.
Letzcycle is green , keeps you fit , reduces congestion
and improves the quality of living in India's Metro
cities and Universities.
We want bicycle sharing to be the default option for
last mile connectivity in India.
Problem:
1. Convenience : 90% of Bus & Metro users commute an average 5 KM
after getting off at their station and they want a better solution than cramped
autos or expensive cabs. By giving a hassle-free experience with cashless
payments , well re-define last mile transport.

2. Price : At Rs.15/30 minutes , letzcycle is cheap , super cheap! The


alternative is either rickshaws which are inconvenient or App based Taxis
which are too expensive.

3. Speed: For trips shorter than 5km,92.9% of trips are quicker by shared bike +
public transport ;for trips longer than 5km, 23.7% of trips are faster by shared bike +
public transport.

Strategy & Timeline
1-3 MONTHS :Getting the Prototype ready , App will be operational
with a pilot program of 300 bikes at 2-3 locations.

Locations : 5 university campus + 3 Metro station .

Acquiring and Modifying Bicycles .


App only strategy , will make a lite app which occupies minimal
space on the phone.
Hire a team of 5-6 engineers and a couple of personnel in the
operations and logitiscs department.
Strategic partnership : Partner with OEMs like Hero cycles, Foxconn
etc , bundle with their products.
Product Pricing : Basic Level 1 bike hourly rate Rs. 15 for 30 minutes
Level 2 PREMIUM BIKE : RS. 25 for an hour.
Level 3 Electric bike (at a later time period )
