How to measure Custody Transfer?

Tank Gauging is the calculation the Net


Standard Volume (NSV = Volume at e.g. 15C)
with measurement of level, temperature, etc.
instrumentation.
CT Quantity can be measured by Volume or
by Mass - static or dynamic
Static = Tank Gauging; Dynamic = Flow
Decision is up to involved parties.
Mass and Volume are complementary but not
the same!
Static and Dynamic are complementary

Holes staggered on both sides, in a straight vertical line, de-

At any transition (e.g. when using a ball


valve or mending pipe segments), no gap
may be created exceeding 1 mm.
The stilling well must be smooth on
the inside (average roughness Rz
6.3 m). Use extruded or parallel welded
stainless steel pipe. An extension of the
pipe is possible with welded flanges or
pipe sleeves. Flange and pipe have to be
properly aligned at the inside.

Shifted pipes should not be welded

Stilling well must be open at the bottom.

There is Communication failure with an Access Control Unit
(ACU)
There is a Communication failure with a Batch controller
Preset Batch has been exceeded
A Transaction has been Stopped or Canceled for any reason
(Either from the Control Room or manually from the Batch
Controller)
