What is Buddy Do?
BuddyDo is a free informative app used by nonprofits around
the world. It is a coordination tool for the nonprofit to
communicate and keep in touch.It keeps everyone involved and
together.
Different Features

*Broadcast information that can be informed to everyone

involved

*Chat with people involved in the organization

*Create Photo Albums

User Reviews and Popularity

This app is not super popular since it is so specific to who

can use it but the reviews overall are super positive. The
overall rating on the app star is 4.5. One reviewer said, I
really like this app! Cant wait to use the app during the
event. The networking matching, the indoor mapping, the
session feedback facilitation, the integration with signage.
So many great features to get great people to interact!I like
it and I will keep it for a long time.
Modifications

Overall the only thing I would modify to the app would be its
target audience.If more than just nonprofits could use this
app it could be way more popular

What is GIN?
GIN is a free app that is practical and informative tool used by different greek
communities around the United States. With lots of different features it helps the
users in a variety of ways. The app can be accessed on ones phone or through their
website. GIN stands for Group Interactive Network.
Different Features of GIN
GIN has many different features that allow each chapter to be informed about their
chapter and their members. When entering the app on the side there is several
different tabs. These tabs include announcements, calendar, files, questions/polls,
birthdays, contact lists, learn faces, and academics.
Announcements and Calendar
The announcements are an easy way to send out information to the whole chapter
that is important. The calendar looks very similar to the apple calendar on iphones.
Each color can be set to mean something different to make it easy to identify what
days have what type of events. One can also sync the GIN calendar to their iphone
calendar.
Birthdays,Contacts, and Learn Faces
These three components to the app make it more than just a calendar app. It allows
the chapters that are often very large in size, get to know each other faster and more
efficiently. Birthdays show every members throughout the year and the age they are
turning. Contacts gives every member's phone number and email. Learning Faces is
a game that takes everyones profile pictures on GIN and you are quizzed on their
names.
Academics
Academics is my favorite part of this app. It breaks into sub-divisions: Scholarship
Plan, Whos in My Classes, My Study Hours, and Find A Tutor. Whos in My
Classes allows members to type in their classes and then it will tell them all the
members who are in that class. This is helpful when looking for help in a class or
wanting to find someone to sit next to.
How is this App Relevant to My Future?
I think GIN could be implemented into a non profit to be effective and useful in that
situation. The company can put all their plans and files on the app and then people in
the nonprofit sector can access these plans and files.
Modifications to the App
Some modifications to the app would mostly be centered around the
calendar.Another issue is having to log in every single time you use the app. The
app is also very slow, especially when used in chapter with mass amounts.
User Reviews
This app has a lot of bugs which irritates the users. On the appstore the rating for
GIN is one and a half stars. I think it is a good idea but lacks follow through.
