Operators’ View of Voice over LTE

If MNOs aim to provide a non-IMS voice service as well as an LTE data


service to roaming subscribers utilizing an LTE device, then it shall, as
a minimum, support CSFB for voice.

Redirection upon RRCConnectionRelease with SIB (Release 9) shall be


implemented by Q3 2011 (practically will change to Q32012) as a minimum
requirement in the LTE devices and in the LTE and legacy (i.e. GERAN)
networks.

Setup of “Technical Tasks to be performed for IMS/SRVCC” is being


developed in order to allow tracking and resolution of open issues with
regards to target solution in NGMN
