Top issues emerging with the CS, ITCs and the Internet use
• increasingly marginalized role of the teachers
• Risk of teacher’s role becoming redundant
• Classroom instructions less attractive than the Internet
contents
• Internet contents are not always beneficial but rather dubious:
 misleading media information, manipulative information and
contents, plagiarism, privacy violence, addictive games, open access
to obscure and profane resources, dissemination of hostile and
perverting ideas, unauthorized downloads, and selling of AM
processors, 3D printers and software for disturbing humanity and
societal peace

Human – Computer Interaction:

Natural Intelligence (NI)
vs
Artificial Intelligence (AI)

• Natural or Human Intelligence covers more

domains than just knowing, i.e. its
applicability depends on emotional and social
intelligence as well.
• AI has no emotional intelligence

Discipline in human life – the practice of training

people to obey rules or a code of behaviour,
using “punishment” to correct disobedience, is
often affected by human emotions or mood.
Lacking emotional intelligence, AI appears a
promising warden and conductor of
• ‘unpolluted’ and ‘beneficial’ Internet use
• ‘healthy-and-safe-Internet-information-traffic’

Designing an AI EW would facilitate:

 A smart smart-technology-freedom-in-class i.e.
prove its use not threatening and instruction
distracting but useful
 The teachers’ role and their in class-instructions
i.e. help that class instruction be designed to
navigate students’ interests and engagement
towards the use of the ICTs and the Internet only
for personal sophistication and useful knowledge
enhancement
