ISOLATED FOOTING
(GANNA HOUSE)
ISOLATED FOOTING

10 MM# @5” C/C

Slope -45 degree
P.C.C. – 1:4:8 (M7.5)

FOOTING SIZE- 6’-6” X 6’-6”

WHY WE USE ISOLATED FOOTING ?

Isolated footing is one of the
shallow foundation
It is slopped to spread the load
over a large area
Workmen with little or no
knowledge can easily constructed an
isolated footing
PLINTH BEAM
Why plinth beams are used ?
 To avoid differential settlement

 To maintain the plinth plane proper

 To connect all the columns if depth of

foundation is high

 To avoid difficulties in construction of

walls. 250

If the distance between two bar’s are more

than 3oo mm than we provide a extra ties in

STARTER
Why is a starter used in a column?
The name itself suggest that it’s
a start point

Starter helps mainly to adjust

the form work of a column
vertically.

It is castes in such a way that

equal cover is left around the
reinforcement bars

Starter width 4”
BAR is bend when it is
lapped with other bar
to maintain
Straightening in steel
Bars.
COVER

 COVER IS USED TO
PROTECT
THE REINFORCEMENT FROM
CARROSION

 AND TO PROVIDE FIRE

RESISTANCE TO BAR

COVER 25mm
SUNK
• It is used to grounding
sanitary pipe & W.C.

• Pots is used to fill sunk

• Generally depth 200 mm

300 mm and depending
on design

Total area (both side)=2 x 1111.875= 2223.75 sq. ft
Shuttering market rate=25 Rs. (sq. ft)

Total Rs.= 55594 Rs.

FOUNDATION CALCULATION
Volume of concrete ?

450 X 450mm
FOR A1
V= h/3 (a1+a2+√𝑎1𝑎2)
a1 =3000*3000= 9 m^2 75mm
a2 =600*600 = 0.36 m^2
A1
h= 0.75m 750mm

FOR A2 150mm
A2 300 mm

V= L*B*H
A3 150 mm
V=3000*3000*300=2.7 m^3
3000 x 3000 mm
FOR A3
V=3300*3300*150=1.63 m^3

Total volume= 2.79+2.7+1.63 = 7.12m^3

Calculate unit weight of steel ?

𝑑^2
Unit weight = * R.M.L.

TOTAL NO. OF BARS 4-20mm#

=4 x(20*20/162) x3.04

= 30.02 Kg
