LQ Site Moving Operation
• The Structure was arranged on temporary
supports height 1800mm.
• To make the trailer suitable to the height.
• Bottom of the Structure will be marked for
correct trailer arrangement underneath. In
addition, maneuvering path is identified by
marking lines alongside the lengthwise of the
Structure on the ground, the trailer wheels to be
driven in between these lines.
• All obstructions which interfere the trailer’s
moving path will be removed.
• After finishing all the preparation, the test lift for
Structure will performed. Before performing the
trial lift. A notice will be informed to involved
Parties prior to lifting test.
• Using rubbers at top of the platform trailer to
increase friction between the Structure and
trailers. Jacking-up the trailer platforms till top
of platform trailers touching the bottom of
Structure.
• Lashing Structure to trailers by chain ropes.
• Checking all pressure of trailers to control the
load condition before moving.

LQ Jacking Operation
• Transportation of equipment to site.
• Clearing working area during the whole work
execution, setup of exclusion zone for non-
authorized people.
• Inspection of Foundation conditions (e.g.
levelness/overall conditions, etc.) at jacking
locations & forklift positions for assembly of
equipment prior to any activities.
• Inspection of foundation, prepared by Contractor.
• Dimension control dept. to mark-up positions of
where to place/position jacking towers. install
jacking towers at given positions/locations. To be
verified by Contractor.
• The power pack and the readout displays need
electric power to function. An ordinary two phase
connection will be sufficient for one power-pack,
32 Amps, 230 V.
• The control station shall be protected from adverse
weather conditions during the operation. Weather
protection such as weather tent or similar. See
control station on jacking drawings in appendix C.
• The load cells shall be positioned as per the
approved Engineering manual and load cells
arrangement.

Solutions for the Oil & Gas Industry
LQ Skidding Operation
• Locking gripper unit: The hydraulic cylinders
controlling the claws are extended so that these are
locked onto the flange of the skid beams.
• Break out/start of skidding: The two primary
pushing cylinders connecting the rear skidshoes
to the gripper unit are pressurised (4x 100 Tonne)
until the skidshoes (and thus module) starts moving.
• Extending primary cylinders And thus skidding the
module forward. The cylinders have a maximum
stroke of 1050mm and are synchronically extended at
both skidshoes. When the end of stroke is reached the
cylinders are de-pressurised.
• Unlocking Gripper unit and retracting cylinder The
claws of the gripper unit are unlocked and the
primary pushing cylinders are hydraulically retracted.
These steps will be repeated until module reaches the
end position of module.

Solutions for the Oil & Gas Industry

Removal of skidshoe Operation
• Removing of bolt connection between module &
intermediate piece: The bolt connections between the
bottom of module steel members and intermediate
pieces are removed. Shim plates are removed and
skidshoes are lowered to lowest height.
• Removal skidshoe guides: The skidshoe guides
located at the side will be removed and all
hydraulic connections are disconnected.
• Positioning of Teflon pads: Where required Teflon pads
will be positioned on the skid tracks to decrease friction
& protect the stainless steel of the skidshoes.
• Positioning skidshoes on skid track: Chain hoists are
positioned to secure skidshoe and to drag the skidshoe
in a sideway direction onto the preinstalled skid
tracks. After positioning of the skidshoes onto the
skid tracks the skidshoe guides are reinstalled to
secure the skidshoes.
• Skidding out skidshoes: Trough an external pulling
force (tire fort or similar equipment) the skidshoes are
skidded out. During this operation Teflon pads will
continuously be positioned from back of skidshoes to
front.
• Removal by crane At the outside the skidshoes will be
removed by crane.

Concern: Currently the corrugated wall for shape for Columns
LQ is connected directly to Top and Bottom joining during lifting
deck beams, during lifting the deck, it can operation.
cause clashing between Wall and Deck.
Construction will conduct some method as
below:
• Using 02 Crawl cranes for lifting LQ
Decks to minimize displacement of
elements during lifting.
• Adding some supports at the middle of
the Deck to ensure the deck will touch
to support before touching to the
columns.
• The location of the additional supports
to be considered base of the
displacement and the actual dimension
of the Decks.
• Proposed with DE to move small
columns to Grid line.
