OSMU
The ATAE solution provides the powerful OSMU for centralized management, which
provides the following functions:
 Installs the operating system and basic software such as database software, volume
management software, and cluster management software on the service boards in batches.
 Installs and upgrades the OSS server software on multiple service boards in batches.
 Sets or changes the IP addresses, times, time zones, routes, and user passwords on multiple
OSS servers in batches.
 Monitors the running status of all the storage devices and components in the subrack in a
centralized manner and reports hardware alarms to the U2000 when faults are detected.
Users can query and clear these alarms on the alarm management GUIs on the U2000.
 Queries and collects information about the software and hardware status of the ATAE
cluster system in a centralized manner.
 Backs up the OSS data to the storage devices in a centralized manner.

U2000
 The iManager U2000 centrally manages Huawei mobile network elements (NEs),
including WRAN NEs, GBSS NEs, SingleRAN NEs, GSM/UMTS core network (CN)
NEs, LTE/EPC NEs,…. It also manages the wireless bearer network devices and auxiliary
networking devices used in the mobile network. The U2000 provides basic functions, such
as configuration management, performance management, fault management, security
management, log management, topology management, software management, and system
management. It also provides various optional functions.
 The U2000 provides centralized operation and maintenance (OM) functions for the Huawei
mobile element management solution. The U2000 adopts a modular design that allows
modules to communicate with one another through the CORBA bus. In addition, the
U2000 provides the mediation for connecting various types of NEs.
 The U2000 also provides external interfaces for interoperability with non-Huawei systems.

PRS
Component Description
The PRS server can be divided into the following categories
according to different application scenarios:
- Performance statistics server: Collects performance data and
configuration data from the U2000, parses the data, and
PRS Server
generates analysis results.
- Service visibility server: Collects service data of the MBB
network from the TSP, parses the data, and generates analysis
results.
The PRS client software provides graphical user interfaces
(GUIs) to display the analysis results intuitively. You can log in
PRS Client
to the PRS server from the Web-based PRS client and perform
the corresponding operations after successfully login.

Trace Server

 The Trace Server, an optional component in the U2000

system, collects and filters CHR, MR, and trace data of
eNodeBs, CHR and trace data of NodeBs,
 3G/2G: CHR and MR data of RNCs, signaling logs of VIP
subscribers, CS CHR data, PS CHR data, and PS MR data of
BSCs, and CHR data of USNs, and CHR data of MAG9811,
provides the data for upper-layer applications such as the
EBC, FARS, Nastar, SONMaster, and PRS.

 Emergency System
• The emergency system (ES), which is an HA backup system for the U2000 (the primary
system), is designed for minimizing the hardware and software cost and the service
interruption duration.

• The U2000 ATAE cluster system provides OSS services as the primary system. The ES
simplifies the OSS service function of the primary system and mainly ensures the
network monitoring function. When the primary system cannot provide services as
normal, you can manually start the ES to take over the network, minimizing the impact
of the exception on the operation and maintenance (O&M).

• The ES supports co-deployment with the U2000 in the same cabinet, which is local
deployment. It also supports remote deployment.
