1. SHOW UP!! This is an interesting but challenging


module. The best way to get the best out of the
module is to attend ALL LECTURES AND ALL SEMINARS.

2. PARTICIPATE!! Don’t just sit there! Ask questions –


answer questions. Share ideas. Discuss concepts.
What you get out of this module depends on what you
put in. The more you take an active part the more you
learn...and I hope enjoy yourself!

MINUTES, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE
LECTURE ROOM!

What You can Expect from Me (2)
• We will give you feedback on your work and/or support
with the module in the following ways:
– Every seminar: the last 30-40 minutes of every
seminar, all seminar tutors are happy to offer feedback
on CW, help with anything you don’t understand in
lectures and offer any other help needed.
– We will be available for 1-1 meetings (Please ALWAYS
email for appointments)
– We will offer you coursework seminars where we will
discuss the CW and answer any questions you might have
– We will be available via email (as per university
regulations, please allow 3 days for response!).

How to do well – Summary
1. Attend ALL lectures and seminars. Listen actively! Ask
questions. Participate! Print out slides/material and
take to class with you!

2. Make sure you have completed all necessary readings


BEFORE tutorials (only 2!)

3. After each lecture READ THE BOOK CHAPTER and AT


LEAST ONE JOURNAL ARTICLE related to the topic. This
will help you keep up to date with recent research, will
help you with your coursework and with your exam.

4. Go BEYOND the basics (do not restrict yourselves to the


ones which have been posted onto Moodle)

5. Start working on your CW RIGHT AWAY & ATTEND


CW SEMINARS.

6. Attend EXAM REVISION LECTURE & SEMINAR
