1.Program information

I am a researcher at the Waste Exchange Information Center(WEIC)
at Union Chemical Laboratories, of the Industrial Technology
Research Institute, Taiwan, R.O.C. We have received your
publication 'Industrial Material Exchange Service' on a regular basis
for some time. WEIC is a non- governmental, non-profit
organization. Our primary goal is to assist industries recycle and
reuse waste before disposal. Enclosed please find a document that
may give further insight into WEIC. Proposed information exchange
relationship between your two organizations Since our goals closely
resemble those of your organization, we would like to develop a
partner relationship with Industrial Material Exchange Service, and
in this way facilitate information exchange and other possible
collaborations. Information request Would you please send me
introductory information as well as other relevant publications that
provide information on your strategies, methodologies,
achievements and future objectives? Thanks in advance for your
assistance.
2.Company information

I sent you a fax, dated July 17, that requests the following
information:
1. A list of USA or global catalyst manufacturers, including:
a. company names, adresses, telephone and fax numbers, and
b. product lines and sales records for each product.
2. Information on n-butene skeletal isomerization to iso-butylene. I
know that ABC Corporation, DEF Corporation, GHI Corporation
(Skeletal process), and JKL Corporation (BLISS process) are the
global leaders in this field. The last company may already be in the
pilot plant or demo plant stage.

I urgently need the above information. I appreciate your kind
attention to this matter and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
3. Product information

The Center for Measurements Standards, a subsidiary of the
Industrial Technology Research Institute, Hsinchu, Taiwan, is
currently developing a flow measurement test rig. Our design
consultant suggests the use of ABC valve products on some of our
mechanical components. The following is a list of items we are
interested in purchasing from your company:
1. Item and spec.: "2" N.B. Series 44 ball valve, complete with weld
neck to BS 1560 class 600 LB flange & actuator with series 40, size
20 RKA 40. The flanges should have a 165mm O.D. with holes
drilled through equally spaced holes with a diameter of 19mm.

4. Technology information

I came across an article in the April 1994 edition
of The plastics BRIEF International Newsletter
regarding your LCP extrusion film technology. I
found it to be of great interest.

Let me tell you about my organization: we are a
non-profit research institute that serves the
plastics industry in Taiwan. Our primary
responsibilities include technical support, R&D,
and technology transfer.

I would like to more clearly understand your product line
and related technology: could you send me information
on the technology and information on the samples of
pure LCP films, coextruded films and, if at all possible,
could you send me film samples of LCP blends along
with LCP blend test data. We intend to explore possible
applications of these films, particularly in the IC,
electronics and the packaging industries here in Taiwan.
Furthermore, your film extrusion process seems to have
the potential to meet our particular needs.
