Connecting to the Unit
• Command Line interface – Putty, HTerminal • Web Graphical User Interface via browser / Telnet

Connecting to the Unit – Terminal interface
• FibeAir IP-20G includes an RJ-45 terminal interface (RS-232). A local craft terminal
can be connected to the terminal interface for local CLI management of the unit.

• Bits per Second – 115,200

• Data Bits – 8

• Parity – None

• Stop Bits – 1

Physical Management port has 2 FE ports combined
1. Management Port 1 is enabled by default WA-0245-0
2. Management Port 2 is user enabled

• FibeAir IP-20G contains 2 FE management interfaces, which connect
to a single RJ-45 physical connector on the front panel (MGMT).

Connecting via CLI – General Command Line Interface
use
• Press twice the TAB key for optional commands in actual directory. Use the TAB
key to auto-complete a syntax
• Use the arrow keys to navigate through recent commands
• Question mark to list helpful commands
• Type Exit key to jump out from menu (eg. ) / Q to end a session
• Q to end a current session in CLI

Connecting via CLI – Command Line Interface

• Make sure you have Telnet utility installed on you computer.


• Cmd>telnet IP address

• Same Username and Password as for GUI

Get/Set IP address

Connecting to IP-20G via WEB GUI

• Connect your EMS/NMS to the MGMT port of IP-20G with ETH CAT5 cable
• Default IP address for IP-20G is 192.168.1.1/24 192.168.1.1/24

• Verify that your PC’s IP is in the same subnet


• Make sure Link is up
ETH CAT5 straight
• PING the IP-20G
• Go to the IP20-G’s IP in a web browser(IE, Firefox)
• Telnet connection is also possible 192.168.1.10/24
