› Keep the documents and software;
› Use the Laptop to transfer the T2000 license or software package to
the customer’s computer.
› If need, install a T2000 on Laptop to be familiar with the operation on
T2000 or install a LCT ( T2000-LCT or Web LCT) For equipment
commission. Notes: for RTN and NGWDM,use the Web LCT.
• Ethernet cables
› Connect the Laptop to NMS computer using an Ethernet cable.
• Note:
› The *.iso is used to record the Installation DVD, 3 for UNIX, 1 for Windows .
› After download software from the support website, please check the name ot the package ,if it is different
from the name shown in the Support Website, or in document such as Installation guide or Upgrade
instruction ,please rename the package before ftp to UNIX.

• The main difference between the Web LCT and the T2000-LCT is as
follows:
› Manageable Equipment
» The Web LCT added from T2000V2R4C01 manages Huawei NG
WDM ,RTN and PTN series products. The T2000-LCT manages SDH,
MSTP, OSN, Metro WDM and LH WDM series products.
› GUI Style
» The Web LCT uses the browser/server architecture that the user
configures and maintains NEs by using a browser. The Web LCT
implements a web-based graphic user interface. The T2000-LCT
implements a Java-based graphic user interface.
› Data Management
» The Web LCT has no NM database, All operations are directly applies to
NEs. Hence, the Web LCT does not support the ability to preconfigure an
NE, upload and download the NE configuration data, and acknowledge
and synchronize alarms.

Fail to Cause The database has been installed ever and there are some
install leftover information in OS.
The free space of the disk is not enough.
Method Delete the leftover information.
Check the space of the disk.
Fail to Cause The host name is changed.

The host IP is changed, also can lead to start database failure on Solaris.
Method Change back to the old name
Reinstall the database , and select “upgrade” option on Window OS
Comply the operation guide strictly to modify host IP and name on Solaris
OS.
Fail to Cause The T2000V2 software has been installed ever, there are some leftover
install information in OS
The free space of the disk is not enough.

Fail to start Cause OS or database start abnormally.

The connection between server and database is incorrect.
Method Check whether the database is started
Method Copy the files of the same version client from other computer and
cover the problem client.
Or reinstall the client.
Check the physical connection.
License fault Check whether the MAC addresses of T2000 server and in the license
file are the same
Check whether the versions of T2000 and the license file are the
compatible.
Check whether the position of the license file is correct.

› A server is running on a PC, one day, when the PC
restarts abnormally, the server can not be started.

the T2000 Database Management Tool T2000DM to restore
the MO data, the prompt as follows :
