CHILDREN: Dear Parents,
we have come here with you
to celebrate the Holy
Eucharist together. This is
the first time, we, your
children, are allowed to
receive the Body of Jesus,
the Living Bread. We will be
united with Jesus our Lord.
PARENTS: Dear friends, we
all wish to share in the joy of
our children. We want to
celebrate the Eucharist with
you and with our children,
to strengthen our faith in
God, who helps us support
the life of faith of our
children.
COMMITTEE: Dear children,
today, when you receive the
Body of our Lord Jesus
Christ for the first time, you
will be sharing in God’s own
life in a new and very
important way. With this
new experience, we know
that you will come to know
who God is and how much
He wants to be with you for
He loves you.
CHILDREN: We know that
God loves the world so much
that He gave His only Son,
Jesus, who comes to us
through his word and in
Holy Communion. He wants
us to live as Jesus did, loving
God and loving our neighbor,
especially the poor.
Priest : Who is truly present in the
Sacred Host?

Children: Jesus, the Son of

God.

Priest : What do you ask of Jesus?

Children : We ask to receive

Him as our spiritual food on
our way to Heaven.
Priest : What will Jesus do for you?

Children : He will make us

strong, obedient and joyful
members of His great family.
Priest : Why does Jesus invites you
to eat his Living Bread, in Holy
Communion?

Children : Because Jesus

loves us. He wants us to be
united with Him and He
wants us to live as he did,
loving God and our neighbor.

love in Holy Communion.

Leader: O Lord, with joyful hearts we offer
to you our children. We beseech you, help
them always keep immaculate the baptismal
garment which they wear today. We know
that there is much evil in the world that is
why.

to you, keep our children
always pure.
Leader: O Lord, we want our children to
live up to the dignity of their Christian
calling to serve you with generosity all the
days of their lives.

PARENTS: O Lord, we pray

to you, keep our children
always loyal to your
service.
Leader: O Lord, we promise to guide our
children and bring them closer to You by
our own good example day by day. We will
take them to Mass every Sunday and provide
them with a good Christian education.
