NSW Cluster Optimization Drive Report

Cluster 1_Acceptance Report

1 © Nokia Siemens Networks

Result Summary

1. Optimization drive for Cluster 1 - was carried out on 23rd and 02nd September as per the
agreed drive route.
2. Cluster maturity status for Cluster1 –:
 Total Site – 33 sites
 SSV Done & Scorecard accepted – 32 sites
 1 site not integrated , hence it will be shoehorned later on.
3. NSW Mobility Drive Observation
 Peak MAC DL throughput of 72.2 Mbps
 Peak MAC UL throughput of 23.9Mbps.
 100% area have RSRP> -115dBm
 100% area have SINR> -5dB.
 98.58% area have SINR> 2dB.
 HOSR of 100% is achieved during the drive
4. As Optimized LTE Parameter setting is deployed across the LTE Network , hence no
performance issue observed and hence resulting in better end-user experience.
5. Cluster of NSW is passing all the contractual KPI.

Recommendations – Further Improvements

1. Phase 1 site Sxxxx need to be prioritized

2. Phase 2 sites Syyyy & Szzzz are required to improve the radio conditions of
Cluster 1, Hence highly recommended to be prioritized.
3. The above mentioned recommendation implementation will result in better end
user exp.

1. Cross verification of the site parameters with the Parameter baseline

was carried out for all the sites of the cluster-1.
2. Alarm Checking – To get the VSWR/Faulty HW issue addressed on
priority if any, which otherwise can have potential effect on
performance.
3. Sector swap if any ,has already been already been cleared as part of
SSV testing.
4. The serving area boundary of the Cluster-1 was derived based on the
best server simulation plot for SSV passed sites using the
propagation model values provided by Optus

Drive Test Methodology
1. Drive Test Tool
 Nemo Out Door 6.3 version is used
2. Data Dongle
 Huawei E-392 used to perform the testing.
 External Antenna Used during the drive.
3. Test Cases
 Scanner
 UE in LTE Locked Mode -Long PS Call---FTP
Download of >1.5GB file script to repeat the same
 UE in LTE Locked Mode- Long PS Call--- FTP Upload
of 450MB file script to repeat the same
4. Drive Test carried out on the mutually agreed drive route.
5. Distance base binning used to compute the stats.
6. All the analysis & result computation was done for drive
data with in the serving area boundary derived based on
the Best Server simulation for all the SSV passed sites of
cluster-1.
7. The Events that are originating and terminating within the
revised cluster boundary based on best server plot has
been considered for computation purposes.

Drive Test Coverage – PDSCH Throughput Vs. SNR

1. It is expected that higher SINR correlates to higher throughput, The result shows that the majority of the samples are
following such curve.
2. The samples outside such curve is of low density (dark green color)
19 © Nokia Siemens Networks
Drive Test Coverage – DL Link Adaption

1. As expected Majority of the samples are with MIMO and hence resulting in Better end- user throughput.

Drive Test Coverage – RB (PLOT, Histogram and CDF)

1. Most of the time all 50 PRB were allocated and this also confirms that there were no other user during the
drive period.

•The poor reason for

the bad Radio
condition on
Harbour bridge is
due to overshooting
of heighted sites .

•Phase1 site S5511 &

Phase 2 site S0974
are highly
recommended to
improve the radio
conditions at
SINR -Pre-Down tilt Recommendation SINR -Post-Down tilt Recommendation Harbour bridge area
& also tilt changes
are recommended in
the surrounding
sites of this area
which results in 1dB
improvement in
SINR.
