Introduction:
Burglar alarms have become standard equipment in
stores and other businesses, and they're becoming
increasingly common in private homes as well. If
you've ever shopped for a home security system, then
you know there are a wide variety of options available.
These systems range from do-it-yourself kits you can
pick up for $10 to sophisticated whole-house security
networks that must be installed by professionals. But,
as it turns out, most alarm systems are actually built
around the same basic design concepts.

 Battery:
A lot of things use those small batteries. Smoke
detectors, some transistor radios (not so much any
more), lots of handheld test equipment, electronic toys,
automatic street light, etc. More and more things that in
the past typically used 9V batteries are being designed to
run from one to four AA or AAA cells.

6
 Buzzer:
 A buzzer is an electrical device that is used to make a
buzzing sound for example, to attract
someone's attention.

7
 I.C NE 555 Timer:
The 555 timer IC is an integrated circuit (chip) used in a
variety of timer, pulse generation, and oscillator
applications. The 555 can be used to provide time delays,
as an oscillator, and as a flip-flop element.

 L.E.D (Light Emitting Diode)
LED lighting is very different from other lighting sources
such as incandescent bulbs and CFLs. Key differences
include the following: Light Source: LEDs are the size of
a fleck of pepper, and a mix of red, green, and blue LEDs
is typically used to make white light.

9
 Resistance:
Devices called resistors let us introduce precisely
controlled amounts of resistance into electrical circuits.
Let's take a closer look at what they are and how they
work! Photo: A typical resistor used in an electronic
circuit. It works by converting electrical energy into
heat, which is dissipated into the air

10
Transistor:
A semiconductor device with three connections, capable
of amplification in addition to rectification.

11
 Capacitor:
A device used to store an electric charge, consisting of
one or more pairs of conductors separated by an
insulator.

12
 Breadboard:
A breadboard is a solderless device for temporary
prototype with electronics and test circuit designs. Most
electronic components in electronic circuits can be
interconnected by inserting their leads or terminals into
the holes and then making connections through wires
where appropriate.
