Archimedes experiment

• Aim: To find the relationship between the mass and the amount of water displaced.
1. Fill beaker with water.
2. Put an object in the water.
3. The water will flow out into the other beaker.
4. Find the weight of the water that came out. It is the same as the buoyancy force!
• Extension:
1. Measure the volume of the water. (Remember, ml -> L -> m3)
2. The density of water is 1000 kg/m3
3. Calculate the mass of the water.
4. Check the mass using the scale.
5. Are your calculations correct?
