Introduction of Buoyancy force.
What is Buoyancy Force?
Buoyancy is an upward acting force exerted by a fluid, that opposes an
object's weight. In a column of fluid, pressure increases with depth as a
result of the weight of the over lying fluid. Thus a column of fluid, or an
object submerged in the fluid, experiences greater pressure at the bottom
of the column than at the top. This difference in pressure results in a net
force that tends to accelerate an object upwards.
Helium
AEROGEL
STYROFOAM
Dimension calculation
Wman + Wshoe = FB
Mmang + Mshoeg = FB
800.5N = 9810N(V)
V = 0.0813 m3
Bouncy Force
FB = ρh2ogV
FB =(1000)(9.81)(0.0813)
FB =797.55N
For a shoe
V = 0.0813 m3 ÷ 2
V = 0.04065 m3
The design of the shoes must have larger volume than the volume of the water
displace in order to make human float. It is because the object that have the
higher volume have a greater FB.
Volume for shoe
Vshoe = length x width x height
Vshoe = 0.85 m x 0.25 m x 0.2m ρaerogel = 0.147 Kg/m3
ρHelium = 0.1785 Kg/m3
Vshoe = 0.0425m3
ρstyrofoam = 200 Kg/m3
Density material
Wshoe = ρaerogelgv + ρHeliumgv + ρstyrofoamgv
Wshoe =(0.147)(9.81)(0.0425) + (0.1785)(9.81)
(0.0425) + (200)(9.81)(0.0425)
Wshoe = 0.0613N + 0.0744N + 83.385N
Wshoe = 83.52N
Mass of shoe
Wshoe = mg
83.52 N = m(9.81)
m = 8.51Kg
Dimension of the shoes.
