Big Brothers Big Sisters
 Mission
– Their mission is to help
children reach their potential
through professionally
supported, one-to-one
relationships with
measurable impact.
 Vision
– Their vision consists of
successful mentoring
relationships for all children
who need and want them
contributing to better
schools, brighter futures,
and stronger communities
for all.
Mentoring Works
 Big Brothers Big Sisters has made a
BIG difference in the lives of
children across America and the
world for over 100 years
 In Northwestern Wisconsin BBBS is
dedicated to serving 1,000 children
locally in one-to-one mentoring
programs by 2010.
 Big Brothers and Big Sisters
reported these changes among the
kids they mentor:
– 83% saw a rise in self-confidence
– 60% had better academic
performance
– 96% say the children show trust
toward them
 Parents of children reported these
affects:
Lunch Buddies Program
 School and Site Based Program
– All it takes is one lunch-time out of your week to laugh, talk or play
a board game with your Little Brother or Little Sister. It doesn’t take
much to make a positive difference to a child that will last their
lifetime.
 How does it work?
– It’s simple! You meet with your Little Brother or Little Sister at their
school or a specified site at the same time once a week. Together
you can eat lunch, talk, read or play games.
