BACKGROUND
The Bacoor Investment Code of 2008 was enacted by the Sangguniang Bayan of Bacoor on March 31, 2008, authored by then Councilor, Hon. Hubert G. Gervacio; The BIC 08 though enacted, was not fully implemented until the Hon. SBR created the BTIIC ( Bacoor Trade & Investment Information Center), tasked to enforce/implement provisions of BIC08.

DIRECTION & ASPIRATIONS (AS MANDATED BY


BIC 08) a) Promote & Encourage Domestic & Foreign Investments in the Municipality of Bacoor.

Attract & Entice Investments in Priority Areas (defined by BIC08) that will Contribute to the SocioEconomic Development, through Optimal Utilization of Resources. c) Activation of Bacoor Investment Board (BIB) to ensure the provisions of the BIC of 2008 thereto, be Implemented & Adopted by all business communities in Bacoor.

AGENDA
To establish a favorable & stable business climate encourage & support private investment consistent with developmental needs & environmental objectives of the LGU-Bacoor.
(Chapter 3; Sec. 4. & all Subsections thereof; BIC08)

The LGU is looking for strategies to increase the flow of money into its economy.

Bacoor has the potential for increasing local tourism and other industries. As a result will create more jobs and other peripheral benefits to its more than 600,000 residents

MISSION
To Mainstream Growth & Development of Bacoor, Without Exclusivity to Existing Stakeholders but also to Ensure the Maintenance & Promotion of Continued Growth & Development, Coinciding to Meet the Basic Needs of All Constituencies in Social, Economic & Political Perspectives, towards a Global Bacoor.

OBJECTIVES
To improve and promote a sound and sustainable economy which encourages commercial growth to offer residents and visitors (TOURISTS) a wider choices of local & international products in the market. To establish the Bacoor Trade and Investment Information Center as main conveyor for business & shall develop Bacoor as the most friendly LGU in trade & investment.

To establish Bacoor as one of the sought after hub for all business ventures in all legal forms of any marketable agenda of all business communities whether local, international, micro & macro economic perspectives in line with the socioeconomic policies that will entail sustainable development & environment ally conscious society. To promote the growth of investment in Bacoor particularly in the preferred investment areas, the Board shall renew the package of incentives and support measures at least every two (2) years, and recommend for approval to the Sangguniang Bayan.

THINGS TO DO
Funding for BTIIC to effectively implement the mandate of BIC 08. Implementing Rules & Regulations for BIC 08. Suggestion to Include BPLO as member of BIB. Trade-Investment & Tourism interrelated. Adaptability; Innovations & Infrastructure. Zoning Ordinances must be enacted. To lessen LCE workload we recommend that Chairmanship of BIB be delegated, he shall be Vice-Chair.
