Thermal Impacts of Electromagnetic Proximity Effects in Induction Cooking System with

Distributed Planar Multi-coils

I. INTRODUCTION
Nowadays, design of distributed multi-
coils becomes one of the development
tendencies in domestic induction heating
system (DIHS). The design outperforms
conventional single coil DIHS products by
enhancing power capability and providing
uniform thermal distribution. The distributed
coils, however, inevitably aggravate the
proximity effects among coils and also
considerably increase the complexity of
system design. Comprehensive knowledge
on the magnetic phenomena is therefore
crucial to coil design, performance prediction
and optimization in this DIHS.

B. Eddy Currents Computation
The solution to magnetic vector potential
facilitates computation of many physically
observable DIHS parameters. The induced
