*Anthropologist* Keenly observes the visited society, interested in the environment. * Businessperson* Concern with social status, goes to famous places. * Conservationist* Interested in environment, does not exploit local people.

* Explorer* Explores places privately, takes physical risk. * Hippie* Does not buy souvenirs, does not live a life of luxury. * Holiday maker* Takes photos, goes to famous places, buys souvenirs. * International Athlete* Explores places privately, not alienated from own society.

*Jetsetter* Lives a life of luxury, seek sensual pleasure, interacts people with her own kind. *Missionary* Does not seek sensual pleasure, keenly observe the visited society, searches for the meaning of life. *Migrant* Has language problems, prefers interacting with people of his kind

1. Adventurer/ Individual Travelers Budget conscious, they do not just appreciate the place but want to experience it. 2. Mainstream Tourists Usually travel in big groups, prefer to see destinations recommended to them. They go on : * Educational Tours * Family Excursions * Corporate Excursions * Vacations

3. Extreme Tourist observant, participative in the traditions, celebrations & customs of the local community
