 They arise out of sale of the products produced
by members

 It is oldest and most popular type

Producers Co-operatives :
 They are also called Industrial Co-operatives

 Small producers Join hands to carry on


production collectively
 They manufacture goods, and sell to its members
in General and non members on profit
 They eliminate capitalistic class which controls
production
 Main Idea is to make the workers as owners of
the means of productions

 Main aim is to own house

 Formed mostly in urban areas

 These Societies purchase Land at low price and

members

 These are Voluntary Association of people with


moderate income

 They aim at extending short term credit to its


members

 They develop habit of savings as thrift among


members

 Funds contributed by members

 These societies receive financial Assistance from


RBI and State Government

 They help the poor members to get loans at


reasonable interest

 These are Basically Agricultural Co-operatives

 These are formed by small land owners

 They Collect the resources to achieve benefits


of large scale farming

 These societies aim at maximizing Agricultural


output

 They solve problems of finance, irrigation,

 These Societies organized to take care of all
aspects of rural and urban life

 In Rural areas they supply seeds, fertilizers and
