Supply chain
Brilliant mix of industrial design, transcendent

software interfaces and consumable goods that are purely digital.

The digital supply chain encompasses the process of

delivering digital media electronically.

The digital supply chain does not have inventory

products (songs or movies) are sold on demand

Apple built a supply chain based on quality, cost, and

speed that is different from traditional supply chain based on managing plants, trucks, and assembly lines.
It has moved away from a 20th-century efficient

mentality towards a new era of value thats based on ideas, design and content.
It uses online distribution channels to deliver music,

movies etc like iTunes store.

The developed digital supply chain is done using iTunes.

Apple is unique in providing customers with estimates

of greenhouse gas emissions with each new product sold.

The introduction of retail stores which is

bigger than necessary.

Retail stores offered free internet browsing and provided

extensive product training rather than just sales help.

Each store had simple and logical layouts which is split

into four sections.
