INTRODUC TION
Kadazandusun culture have more customs that can passed to future members of the culture. Examples: history of kadazandusun, language, traditional customs, traditional music, traditional dance and many more. Pesta kaamatan is a celebration every year celebrated by kadazandusun ethnics.

Microsystem
Unique name, raised in Kadazan Dusun lifestyle.

Mesosystem
Size of family big family (5+ siblings) Places: Kadazan Dusun of Kota Marudu, Kadazan Dusun of Penampang. Authoritarian parenting style. Naming : father-> Apa : Mother -> Eyai : Siblings -> Babang (brother), Akak (sister), Ingkung, Onong, Oyong.

Playground : traditional games with friends (around neighborhood) & family members (same age). Peers : social relation among their own ethnic due to language barrier. Religion : Christian, no religion (animism), Islam Health center services: The parents will put gold piercing on their right side for the young sick boy. : Shaman will put spell to sick family members. School : modern school.

Exosystem
Some of them living with their extended family. Aki (grandpa), Ena (grandma) Caretakers among their own family members. Neighbour among their own ethnic. Association group among Kadazan Dusun

Macrosystem
Foods : Traditional food -> Noonsom (salted fish), Linoput (rice cover with leaf), vegetables to maintain their health ( Tuhau ), Hinava (raw fish salad) . Festivals : Kaamatan festival -> celebrated to marked the end of harvest. -> drink tapai , kinomol , talak (heavy drinks) Taboo : During sunset, children not allowed to go out, it is because they belief tinabi (ghost) is out at that time.

Saying buchela (Beluran), tadkopuun (Kota Marudu Dusun), topusangang (Penampang Kadazan) to avoid bad things will happen after mentioned foods while want to go out. Adolescents girl will ask to join unduk ngadau (beauty) contest.

Chronosystem
In modern life, they prefer modern lifestyle. But still maintain their culture to prevent it from extinct. Many associations were built to protect the Kadazan Dusun cultures (United Party Kadazan Organization)

-they will going to help others (farm, home, school etc.) but just the easy work= co-operate each others. - can talk the language properly (family factor) - hunting and fishery traditional tool= learn the basic (sopuk, tuwil, gaba, sungul, balatik, paliw, tandus, ramok, rungkasip, tabpai, sodik, tungkakub, pimpig, tawos &tundalo, siud, bangkala, tambong, bubu sawak )

Formal Operations: - Helps their family =business, cultivate(continuous the activities from concrete operations= get the basic and skill) - learn the tradisional music: tagung, sompoton, turali, bungkau, suling pumpuak help parent or family produce products: Bohungon, Basung, kakanan, luping, sigup, sada toosin, bilis, tipun, paha, tusi

EFFECTS OF CULTURE a) language kadazandusun subject teach in selected primary school More association developed such as Kadazandusun Language Foundation ( KLF ), Koisaan Cultural Development Institute ( KDI ), Persatuan Kebudayaan Kadazandusun Sabah ( KDCA ), Perpustakaan Negeri Sabah ( PNS )

FOODS tradisional foods still apply in kadazandusun society especially in village society. examples: Hinava, Noonsom(Noonsom Sada, Noonsom Bambangan dan Noonsom Tuhau), Pinaasakan dan Sup Manuk Lihing

MUSIC created from bamboo (tongkungon, turali, suling (atau seruling), sompoton dan togunggak)

Kordofon - (tongkungon, gambus,sundatang or gagayan) Erofon - (suling, turali atau tuahi, bungkau and sompoton) Idofon - (togunggak, gong,kulintangan) and membranofon (kompang, gendang or tontog). We are so proud to become a malaysian. Unique culture It s should be passed to the next generation. Ethnics can build a unique person, society, and country.
