Marcus Vitruvius Pollio . Born in 80-70 BC. Died After15 BC. He was a Roman: Writer. Architect. Engineer.

BIOGRAPHY
DE ARCHITECTURA is his grand master piece. The New Zealand Herald published an architect calling him as the first known engineer. He served as a Ballista in the army. And as a chief of the Ballista.

Is his grand master piece, which architects use as a reference for building beautification. It is his only survived work. It consists of ten books. This is a brief description of its contents:

And he was highly depending on nature to proper proportions of the four elements in materials to the relation between the proportions of the human in aesthetics and use.

Design Temples: -symmetry -proportion. -The column base is module when derived from proper division of width of each temple style. Ex :
    Tetrastyle divided into 11.5 parts. Hexastyle divided into 18 parts. Octastyle divided into 24.5 parts. 1part = column base width
