Google+ is a social networking and identity service, operated by Google Inc. The service launched on June 28, 2011 in an invite-only "field testing" phase. On July 14, 2011, Google announced that Google+ had reached 10 million users just two weeks after it was launched in a "limited" trial phase.
The origins of Facebook have been in dispute since the very week a 19-year-old Mark Zuckerberg launched the site as a Harvard sophomore on February 4, 2004. Now the site has become one of the biggest web sites in the world, visited by 500 million people a month.
