INTRODUCTION
The founder Chairman - Dr. Prathap C Reddy Year Of Foundation 1983 Apollo Hospitals is one of Asia s largest healthcare groups. Apollo Hospitals has Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditations for 7 of its hospitals, the largest by any hospital group in the region.

It is an integrated healthcare organization with owned and managed hospitals, diagnostic clinics, dispensing pharmacies and consultancy services. The group s service offerings include healthcare at the patient s doorstep, clinical & diagnostic services, medical business process outsourcing, third party administration services and health insurance. To enhance performance and service to customers, the company also makes available the services to support business, telemedicine services, education, training programs & research services and a host of other nonprofit projects.

Currently engages more than 19,000 doctors, nurses, paramedics, clinical staff and management professionals to manage over 8500 beds across 53 hospitals in India and abroad. Along with this Apollo Hospitals has several courses along with research facilities to facilitate innovation.

The hospital has 2 type of staffs  Clinical staffs: It includes all the doctors, nurses ,ward boys, anesthetist , scanning people ,researchers etc. Non-clinical staffs: It consist of people other than the medical staffs like accountant, HR manager, peons, clerks, receptionist etc.

As Apollo being super and multi specialty hospital number of employees depends not on size of hospital but on its specialty. The ratio of bed to employee is 1:6 that is for 1 bed number of employees needed are 6. For every 3 bed in general ward , one nurse is required and for emergency wards such as ICU, IRW one nurse for one bed. Nurses and interns works on shift basis in the hospital.

Around 300 employees which include clinical and non-clinical staffs are there in each hospitals. Non-care staffs are generally outsourced, and in some branch security and good services are also outsourced. Paramedical students are recruited for nursing position after the completion of their studies. Full utilization of man power are practiced by training staffs for non care jobs.

Prominently Apollo is known best for heart problems and Knee and Hip replacement surgeries besides other major ailments. The specialities include Heart, Orthopedics, Spine, Cancer Care, Gastroenterology, Neurosciences, Nephrology & Urology Critical Care.

Apollo Hospitals has around 8500 beds across 53 hospitals in India and overseas. It is located in 15 different places across India which include Ahmedabad, Aragonda, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Bilaspur, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kakinata, Kolkata, Madurai, Mauritius, Mysore Noida.
