Imagine a world without wires.

The latest concept in the world of technology is the introduction of witricity. The universal wireless charging pads were created where you need not plug in your cell phone or ipod for charging.

An era of a new science called nanotechnology has evolved manipulating both atoms and molecules and putting them into an extraordinary degree of flexibility.
The meaning that nanotechnology holds for our future depends on how NANOGENERATORS solve the problem of traditional charging techniques!!!.

NANO GENERATORS

A huge inconvenience of having a device loses power from lack of battery charging or actual battery inoperability can be fixed by several ways. The most straightforward one being to create longer lasting batteries that have less of an environmental impacts.

WORKING

Wireless power supply technologies at present can be divided into three groups according to their principle of operation Electromagnetic induction Radio reception Resonance

ELECTRO MAGNETIC INDUCTION The first non-contact technology achieving widespread adoption in many portable terminals is electromagnetic induction.

RADIO RECEPTION
Another technology very close to commercial use makes use of the fact that energy can be transmitted and received directly as radio waves reception.

RESONANCE
The third principle is electromagnetic resonance..

This specific application uses only the electric or magnetic field, instead of electromagnetic waves, current, etc .,

The resonance type is a proximity electromagnetic field approach, using electric, magnetic and other fields built on research and development.
In new areas such as near-field light, optical communications, photonic crystals and meta materials.

Power from Close-Range:

Electromagnetic induction can transmit up to several hundred kW of power, a considerable amount, but only over a maximum distance of 1cm or less. The radio wave reception approach can handle ranges of up to about 10m, but only for low power levels of several mW to several hundred mW. Resonance wireless power supply, on the other hand, can transmit power over 3 or 4m at levels of up to several kW

Why is wireless power supply hot?

Because of

(1) market growth,

(2) developments in technology and

(3) delays in competing technologies .

WHY FIRMS SWITCHING TO WIRELESS POWER SUPPLY..??

There has been little significant technical development in the last few years, and no dramatic increase in capacity is expected until fuel cells enter mainstream use. Even if the battery life per terminal remains the same, the increase in the number of terminals each person carries is leading to increased dissatisfaction with the time needed to charge them all.

THE NEXT CHALLENGE

Three objectives have to be achieved:
Eliminate the use of the AFM,

Make many nanowires generate electricity simultaneously and continuously and

Excite the nanowires in an indirect wave, such as an ultrasonic wave.

HURDLES LYING IN THE PATH OF NANOTECHNOLOGY

The hurdles that lie ahead in the research include learning how to grow perfectly uniform arrays of nanowires that all produce electricity and how to extend their working life.

THE FINAL WORD!!

Wang's wire certainly triggers a piezo-storm in nano world !!!
