INTRODUCTION

What is an ecotel ? Ecotel is a term used to describe a hotel or accommodation that has made important environmental improvements to its structure in order to minimize its impact on the environment. ECOTEL enables hotels to be truly green and sustainable over the long term by involving the entire value chain of owners, architects, operators, employees, suppliers and hotel guests

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This study attempted to find out the answer to the question whether green practices have strong effects on the image of the company and customers behavioral intentions in the hospitality Industry. This study also found the green practices influencing EBI (ecological behavioral intention) in different groups of green customers. In green group, the green practices influencing EBI the most are recyclable take-out containers, recycling waste, and energy efficient lighting.

To study the incorporation of the cultural consideration through the help of the ecotels. To study the provision of an economic return to the local community by ecotels .

METHODOLOGY
The methodology for the ECOTEL is centered upon the idea of the Five Globes or five areas of certification, which together encompass the processes, systems and practices that ensure an environmentally responsible hotel operation. RECOMMENDATION
Commitment to the environment through the complete employee spectrum. Standard operating procedures of the hotel to include correct practices regarding different departments. Target setting, and involving/ encouraging employees to meet them. Training staff on issues related to the environment such as GHG emissions, water shortage, energy and the initiatives taken by the hotel regarding these. Community development with the participation of surrounding communities, suppliers and service providers, promoting the economic, social and cultural growth in the region.
