2048TRXs can be supported by one single BSC6000V900R008 cabinet and built-in PCU can be integratedwhich can save much space of central equipment room. Power consumption will decrease a lot because of high integration. Typical power consumption of TC/BM combined full configuration is 3340W when E1 transmission is used on A/Abis interface, and 2325W, when STM1 is used on A Interface and E1 is used on Abis Interface.

DPUa and DPUc can be used together, configured as GDPUC and GDPUX Ater interface boards
Logical DPU board must be GDPUX where physical board is DPUc No Ater interface boards
When BSC and MSC are located in the same equipment room, combined BM/TC is recommended, i.e., GTCS is not needed, so the configuration is more flexible. When BSC and MSC are in different equipment rooms, separated BM/TC with remote TC will be used.

The DIP switches on the BSC subrack are used to define the numbering of the BSC subrack. The DIP bits are numbered in ascending order from bit 1 to bit 8. ON represents digit 0 and OFF represents digit 1. As the DIP switches use odd parity check, the number of 1s in the eight DIP bits must be an odd number. Set the DIP switch as follows: Set bits 1 5 and 8 first. Set bit 7 to 0. Check the number of 1s in the bits of the DIP switch. If the number of 1s is even, set bit 6 to 1. If the number of 1s is odd, set bit 6 to 0.
Bit 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Meaning Subrack number setting bit Subrack number setting bit Subrack number setting bit Subrack number setting bit Subrack number setting bit Odd parity check bit Reserved, generally set to 0 The automatic DIP bit of the GSCU board in the central subrack. 0, the starting of boards is highly dependent on the GBAM server, namely that the boards load from the server after starting. 1, the starting of boards is less dependent on the GBAM server, namely that the boards check the validity of the Flash file when starting, and load from the Flash file if the Flash file is valid or load from the server if the Flash file is invalid.

Clock Subsystem
To input the active-standby clock of the GGCU, you can use the signals provided by the BITS and the 2.048MHz clock signal extracted from the upper-level clock by the interface panel in the service subrack. The GGCU backplane uses the interface panel of the same subrack to extract the 8 KHz clock signals from the upper-level clocks.
The reference clocks are provided by the GGCU. The reference clocks generate 8kHz clock signals through the GGCU. GMPS: The clock signals are sent to the GSCU in the GMPS subrack through the backplane. Then, the clock signals are sent to other boards in the same subrack. GEPS: The clock signals are sent to the GSCU board in the GEPS subrack through the clock cable. Then, the signals are sent to other boards through the backplane.
Each GTCS extracts line clock from the A interface. The line clock is processed through A interface panel and then generates 8 KHz clock signals. The clock signals are sent to the GSCU in the subrack through the backplane. Then the clock signals are sent to other boards in the same subrack.

The active GGCU and the standby GGCU output 10-way signal channel respectively. A signal channel of an active GGCU and that of a standby GGCU are integrated through the Y-shaped cable. GGCU support six service subracks, one is the GMPS, others five are the GEPSs where the 10 cables from GSCUs to GGCU can be connected at most. The signaling is transmitted to the GMPS/GEPS over the Gb interface. If the sub NS layer of the NS protocol complies with the FR protocol, the Gb interface board is
the GEPUG. If the sub NS layer of the NS protocol complies with the IP protocol,
the Gb interface board is the GFGUG.
The GSCU transmits the signaling to the GXPUM. The GXPUM processes the signaling according to the NS and BSSGP protocols. G X P U M G S C U

One single GDPUX/GDPUC supplies 960 voice circuits coding/decoding, GDPUX/ GDPUC work as resource pool in the subrack. One single GDPUX supports 3740 voice circuits frame conversion or transmission between IP/HDLC and TRAU. One single GDPUP provides a processing capability of 1024 MCS-9 PDCH channels and supports 1024 cells at most, GDPUP works as resource pool in whole system and could be inserted in rear slots. Number of GDPUP+GDPUX+GDPUC couldnt be more than 10.
GXPUM/GXPUT
GXPUM must be inserted in slot 0&1 of GMPS/GEPS fixedly;. GXPUT is inserted in slot 2&3 of GMPS/GEPS by requirement, when the number of TRX in same subrack is less than 256, GXPUT may not be configured.
Interface Specification
Abis: GEIUB/GOIUB supports 256TRXs (HR) at most, GEHUB/GFGUB/GOGUB also support 384TRX(HR)at most. Ater: GOIUT/GEIUT support 7168/3840 voice circuits at most. A: 5 groups of GOIUA/GEIUA can be configured per subrack at most. If A interface uses STM-1 transmission, at most 9600 CIC can be accessed in a single subrack.
