Martyr's Mosque The Tower represents the Baoynet of a Rifle and the Dome is the Helmet, as there is a military tradition to commemorate The Fallen Soldier Battle Cross, Battlefield Cross or Battle Cross is a symbolic replacement of a cross on the battlefield or at the base camp for a soldier who has been killed. Made up of the soldier's rifle with bayonet attached stuck into the ground, helmet on top, dog tags sometimes hanging from the rifle and the boots of the fallen soldier next to it. Its purpose is to show honor and respect for the fallen at the battle site. The practice started during the American Civil War or maybe earlier as a means of identifying the bodies on the battleground before they were removed

History
The hassan mosque is the seventh largest mosque in the world. Concept: inspired by the verse of quran that states the throne of allah was built on water .this feature was as the result of king hassan 2 declairing : I want to built this mosque on water ,because gods throne is on the water .therefore,the faithful who go there to pray, to praise the creator on firm soil,can contemplate gods sky and ocean Work on the mosque was commenced on 12 July 1986, and was intended to be completed for the 60th birthday of the former Moroccan king, Hassan II, in 1989

Architecture
The mosque display strong moorish influence and architecture of the building is similar to the great mosque of cordoba ,spain. It also includes a also includes a number of modern touches. All of the granite, plaster, marble, wood and other materials used in the construction, were taken from around Morocco, with the exception of some Italian white granite columns and glass chandeliers. beautiful mosaics stone and marble floors and columns carved and painted wood ceilings. Prayer hall
Rectangular prayer hall. 650ft * 325 ft The mihrab is on the shorter side of the plan. 2 mezzanine floors along each side of the hall serve as the women prayer galleries . Direct access to ablution facilities for women. Steps ceilings top 210ft ,lower 125 ft Venice crystal chandelier

Ablution chamber

Minerat Basically a square tower.(light house) A laser light,on the top of the minaret that projects a beam which ranges to 30 km towards mecca. Relationship of the height and the size of the minerat to the mass of the building does not represent a propotionate increase following traditional practice. Because of which,tower appears out of scale.
